The BGSU Falcons football Mid-American Conference is highlighted by an early-season home game against the rival Toledo Rockets on Saturday October 11th at Doyt Perry Stadium.
The biggest surprise of the 2025 regular season hasn't come on the field, but off it as BGSU football has adopted a new Director of Pawsitivity. Long snapper George Carlson's beloved pet cat Pudge has become an unofficial mascot of Bowling Green football and the university as a whole, appearing in recent recruitment ads. All hail Pudge!

2024 BGSU Football Season Results
Bowling Green football finished its 2024 campaign 7-6 overall after falling to Arkansas State in the 68 Ventures Bowl. On the bright side, the Falcons finished 6-2 in the MAC with three of those victories coming inside the comfy confines of Doyt Perry Stadium. The Falcons throttled Toledo, 41-26, to win the Battle of I-75 inside the Rockets' home stadium.
All-American tight end Harold Fannin Jr. was later drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Quarterback Connor Bazelak inked a free agent contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and cornerback Jordan Oladokun inked free agent deal with Los Angeles Chargers.
