Late last week, Bowling Green State University's athletic department announced its 2018 Hall of Fame class.
Those to be inducted by BGSU Athletics on Friday, September 21, 2018 are former basketball players Kate Achter and Liz Honnegger, former football player Kory Lichtensteiger, former wrestler John Smith, and Dr. Ron Zwierlein - he and Doyt Perry were the only two Falcons to serve as a student-athlete, coach and athletic director.
Achter is currently the head women's basketball coach at Loyola (IL).
Honegger is about to enter her seventh year as Indiana University's Director of Basketball Operations.
Lichtensteiger retired from the NFL ahead of the 2017 regular season after playing nine years in the pros, seven with the Washington Redskins.
Smith was part of the first undefeated MAC Champ squad back in 1959 and won his 137-pound weight class, while battling the flu.
After years coaching the swimming program, Zwierlein was named BGSU Athletic Director in 1994.
