Fresh off a six-win season and first postseason bowl appearance in years, head coach Scot Loeffler has BGSU football headed in the right direction and Bowling Green hopes to build upon that heading into their 2023 regular season schedule. It's a tough slate that features a challenging non-conference schedule.

The Falcons open the season at Liberty on September 2nd and road games AT Michigan and AT Georgia Tech before the end of September. The MAC schedule opens home against Ohio at Doyt Perry Stadium on September 23 and wraps with another edition of the Battle of I-75 as the Falcons host rival Toledo. BGSU beat the Rockets in a winter wonderland thriller last fall, 42-35.

BGSU Athletics Celebrates ESPN GameDay 20th Anniversary

The BGSU Falcons unveiled a new bobblehead to celebrate ESPN GameDay's visit to Doyt Perry Stadium back in 2003. The first 500 fans through the gates October 21 in the Falcons home game against Akron will receive Lee Corso wearing Frieda, while sitting at the GameDay desk. This iconic moment was the first time ESPN GameDay visited a Mid-American Conference Stadium.
